The Prehn Institute
The curriculum

The programme

The programme is a structured curriculum in the disciplines professional traders apply before a position is entered.

The curriculum was developed by Felix Prehn, economist and former investment banker. It is taught by the Institute's faculty, which includes former hedge fund managers, institutional traders and market makers.

The five disciplines

Applied in order, before entry.

  1. 01. Technical structure.Reading support, resistance and trend direction before a position is considered.
  2. 02. Capital flow analysis.Identifying where institutional capital is moving across sectors, asset classes and individual names.
  3. 03. Condition-aware positioning.Adjusting exposure to the current market environment. A setup that is valid in one set of conditions may not be appropriate in another.
  4. 04. Risk and exit management.Sizing a position and planning its exit before entering.
  5. 05. Execution.Entering a position with the timing and discipline the setup requires.

Teaching
